The short answer
Yes. Upload-Post's own reference file (llms-full.txt, checked 24 October 2026) describes a hosted MCP endpoint at mcp.upload-post.com/mcp with authentication "via API key or OAuth", and says it "exposes 40 tools across publishing, scheduling, analytics, comments and DMs". There is also an open-source local version.
For Google Business Profile it says you can "share updates, offers and events" and "read and reply to reviews".
Free plan and price
- Free: 10 uploads a month, 2 profiles, no credit card.
- Paid: from $24 a month ($16 billed yearly).
Uploads and profiles are the limits that matter: a business with several locations, or an agency, reaches the free plan's profile limit quickly.
Where Upload-Post is stronger
- Comments and DMs across networks, and analytics, in the same connector.
- An API built for developers who publish from their own code.
Where Social for Shops differs
- Every location, free. No profile or upload limit; an agency connects all its client businesses.
- Reviews across locations in one question. The connector counts unanswered reviews by star rating for every location in one call, and drafts replies in each business's own voice profile.
- Nothing public without a preview. Every reply and post is previewed and needs your approval of that exact preview; sign-in is OAuth only, no API keys.

Trying both side by side
You do not have to choose blind. Add Social for Shops next to your current connector: in Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste https://api.socialforshops.com/mcp, sign in and choose read-only to start. Then ask both the same question — for example "which of my locations have unanswered reviews?" — and compare the answers. Nothing is published while you test, and you can remove either connector at any time. The full steps are on the connect page.
Which one should I pick?
- A developer publishing video and handling DMs from code, a couple of profiles: Upload-Post.
- A local business or agency answering Google reviews and posting across many locations from Claude or ChatGPT: Social for Shops.
