Does Buffer have an MCP?

Yes. Buffer's MCP lets Claude, ChatGPT and other tools create and schedule posts and manage your queue, on every plan including Free. Google reviews are not part of it.

The short answer

Buffer has an MCP server. Its MCP page (checked 24 October 2026) says your assistant can "create posts, schedule posts, manage your queue, save ideas, and check your connected channels and upcoming content", and that "MCP access is included on every plan, including Free". Supported clients it lists include Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Raycast, Perplexity, Notion, Zapier and n8n.

Google Business Profile appears as a posting channel, but the page says nothing about Google reviews or replying to them.

What that means for a local business

If your weekly job is publishing posts across networks, Buffer's MCP does it well and costs nothing on the Free plan. If your weekly job also includes answering Google reviews across one or more locations, you need something else for that half.

Posts and reviews in one connector

Social for Shops's connector covers both. Your assistant can post to Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Telegram and more, and it can also:

It is free as well. See the Google Business Profile MCP page, or the overview for posting.

Can I use both?

Yes. Assistants such as Claude can have several connectors at once. Some teams keep Buffer for their posting queue and add Social for Shops for reviews. If you would rather have one connector, Social for Shops handles both jobs.

Which one should I pick?

Questions

Can Buffer's MCP reply to Google reviews?

Its MCP page lists posting, scheduling, the queue, ideas and channel checks, and does not mention reviews. For review replies from your assistant, use a connector built for Google reviews.

Is Buffer's MCP free?

Buffer says MCP access is included on every plan, including Free.

How does the assistant know which connector to use?

Name it in your request: "Using Buffer, schedule this post" or "Using Social for Shops, show unanswered reviews". Each connector describes its own tools, so assistants usually pick the right one anyway.

Other comparisons: Localo, Hootsuite. Setup steps for Social for Shops are on the connect page.
