Privacy Policy

Last updated 3 September 2026

Social for Shops publishes social media and Google Business Profile posts on behalf of local businesses. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

What we collect

What we do with it

We use it to run the service: to write drafts you asked for, to publish what you approved, to show you what happened, and to contact you about your account. That is the whole list.

What we do not do

Who else touches your data

We rely on a small number of providers to operate: Cloudflare (hosting and network), Supabase (database), and the social platforms you choose to connect. Each receives only what is needed to do its part. We do not use advertising trackers on this site.

Disconnecting and deletion

You can disconnect any social account at any time, from our dashboard or from the platform's own settings — either one revokes our access immediately. If you want your account and its data deleted, email hello@socialforshops.com and we will delete it, along with the stored tokens, within 30 days. Posts already published to your own profiles remain yours and stay where they are.

Data we hold about your customers

If your use of the service involves customer information, that data belongs to you. We process it only to provide the service to you, we do not use it to train anything, and we do not disclose it except where legally required.

Security

Access tokens are stored encrypted at rest. Access to production data is limited to the people who operate the service. If we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will tell you.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so on this page and date it. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
