The short answer
Localo has an MCP server. According to Localo's own MCP page (checked 24 October 2026), it lets you "interact with a single local SEO client's data or your entire portfolio" from ChatGPT or Claude, and "it's included on every Localo plan", including the 14-day trial. Gemini is not supported.
It is read-only for Google by design. Localo says its MCP "reads and analyzes, and it never makes changes on Google": review replies, posts and profile edits stay inside the Localo app. Inside your Localo account it can change things such as keywords, tasks and reports.
What people use it for
Localo reports that in one week its users sent 10,000 requests to its MCP, mostly status questions across many clients at once: which profiles have unanswered reviews, how rankings moved. That is a strong signal of demand for asking an AI about many locations in one go.
If you want your AI to reply, not only report
Social for Shops's connector covers the same "which locations need attention" question and goes one step further: your assistant can draft replies in each business's voice and publish them on Google after you approve a preview. It also posts to Google Business Profile and social accounts. It is free, and it works with Claude and ChatGPT.
- Localo MCP: reads and analyzes Google data; actions happen in the Localo app. Included in Localo's paid plans.
- Social for Shops MCP: reads, drafts and publishes review replies after approval, and posts. Free.
Localo is a full local SEO suite with rank tracking and recommendations; if that is what you need, its MCP is a useful extra. If the job is clearing review backlogs across locations from your assistant, see the Google Business Profile MCP page and the Claude guide.
Is it safe for an AI to reply to reviews?
Localo keeps replies in its app on the argument that edits made by AI can put a listing at risk. Social for Shops's answer is to keep the human in the loop: every publish shows a preview and waits for your approval, replies are paced per location, nothing is sent twice, and only verified locations can receive replies. Review text is treated as data, so a review cannot instruct your assistant.
